Need to hire specialist forklift machinery near Hixon?

Davison Forklift Ltd provides forklift hire, forklift sales, and materials handling solutions to businesses in Hixon and the surrounding Staffordshire area. Based in Shifnal, East Shropshire — approximately 22 miles from Hixon — we deliver quality equipment and a dependable service to clients across this part of Staffordshire, backed by over 45 years of industry experience. We’re a well-established, locally rooted business with the fleet, the engineers, and the regional knowledge to support your operations reliably and without unnecessary delays.

Hixon is a Staffordshire village set in the Trent Valley between Stafford and Rugeley, in an area that combines agricultural land with notable industrial and commercial activity. The former RAF Hixon airfield site is now home to Hixon Business Park, a growing hub for manufacturing, engineering, and distribution businesses that regularly require materials handling equipment. The surrounding area also supports a strong agricultural sector, with farms and rural enterprises across the Trent Valley needing telehandlers, rough terrain forklifts, and tractor hire throughout the year. Davison Forklift Ltd serves both communities with the same commitment to quality equipment and responsive service.

We offer a comprehensive range of forklift hire solutions including diesel, LPG (gas), and electric counterbalance forklifts. Whether you need a machine for a day, a week, or an extended period, every unit in our hire fleet is thoroughly maintained and safety-checked before dispatch from our Shifnal depot. Next-day delivery to Hixon is available on many hire units (subject to availability), so you can get the right machine on site without unnecessary waiting.

Our hire fleet extends well beyond standard counterbalance forklifts. We supply reach trucks, powered pallet trucks, electric stackers, order pickers, side loaders, and heavy-duty machines for high-capacity applications. For agricultural, outdoor, and construction work — a major part of business life in and around Hixon — we provide telehandlers and rough terrain forklifts suited to variable ground conditions. Tractor hire is also available, making Davison Forklift a practical all-round equipment partner for rural and mixed-use businesses in the area.

As authorised UK dealers for Clark and Ausa, we sell new and used forklifts alongside our hire fleet. Our team can advise on the most cost-effective solution for your business — whether short-term hire, long-term rental, or purchase — based on how often you need the equipment and what your budget allows.

Davison Forklift Ltd provides forklift servicing, planned maintenance contracts, and rapid-response breakdown support for all makes and models. Our engineers cover Hixon and the wider Staffordshire and Shropshire region, carrying genuine spare parts for leading brands including Clark, Hyster, Linde, Doosan, and Lansing. We work hard to keep your equipment running reliably and to resolve any issues as quickly as possible when they arise.

We carry out LOLER inspections and thorough examinations of lifting equipment to ensure your fleet stays compliant with current UK safety regulations. Flexible finance options — including lease purchase and lease rental — are available for businesses looking to invest in equipment without a large upfront commitment.
