Need to hire specialist forklift machinery near Great Haywood?

Davison Forklift Ltd provides forklift hire, forklift sales, and materials handling solutions to businesses in Great Haywood and the surrounding Staffordshire area. Based in Shifnal, East Shropshire — approximately 20 miles from Great Haywood — we deliver quality equipment and a dependable service backed by over 45 years of industry experience. We’re a local, established business with a genuine understanding of the industries and operations in this part of Staffordshire, and we’re close enough to respond quickly when you need equipment at short notice.

Great Haywood is a village in the Trent Valley, sitting between Stafford and Rugeley in an area that mixes agricultural land, rural estates, and light commercial activity. The surrounding region includes the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Shugborough Estate, and a scattering of farms, equestrian businesses, and rural enterprises that regularly require specialist handling equipment. Further afield, the A51 and A34 corridors connect Great Haywood to the wider Staffordshire business community, including logistics and manufacturing operations in Stafford, Stone, and Rugeley that Davison Forklift also serves regularly.

We offer a comprehensive range of forklift hire solutions including diesel, LPG (gas), and electric counterbalance forklifts. Whether you need a machine for a single day or a more extended hire, our fleet is thoroughly maintained and safety-checked before every dispatch from our Shifnal depot. Next-day delivery to Great Haywood is available on many hire units (subject to availability), ensuring you’re not left waiting when time is critical.

Our hire fleet goes well beyond standard counterbalance forklifts. We supply reach trucks, powered pallet trucks, electric stackers, order pickers, side loaders, and heavy-duty machines for high-capacity applications. For the outdoor, agricultural, and rural work that’s common in this part of Staffordshire, we provide telehandlers and rough terrain forklifts — ideal for farms, estates, and construction sites where ground conditions are variable. Tractor hire is also available, making us a practical all-round equipment partner for rural businesses in the area.

As authorised UK dealers for Clark and Ausa, we also sell new and used forklifts for businesses where purchasing makes more sense than ongoing hire. Our team can walk you through the options and advise on the most cost-effective solution for your usage patterns and budget.

Davison Forklift Ltd provides forklift servicing, planned maintenance contracts, and rapid-response breakdown support for all makes and models. Our engineers cover Great Haywood and the wider Staffordshire and Shropshire region, carrying genuine spare parts for leading brands including Clark, Hyster, Linde, Doosan, and Lansing. Keeping your equipment reliable and your downtime low is at the heart of everything we do.

We carry out LOLER inspections and thorough examinations of lifting equipment to ensure your fleet remains compliant with current UK safety regulations. Flexible finance options — including lease purchase and lease rental — are available for businesses looking to invest in equipment without a large upfront commitment.
